Aus Mannheim kommen nur Xavier Naidoo und Akademie-Pop? Falsch gedacht. Traversay zeigen eindrucksvoll, dass die Quadratestadt auch andere Gesichter abseits des Mainstreams zu bieten hat. Aus Schlagzeug, Gitarre, Klavier und Synths entstehen Songs wie das philosophische „Standby“, das mathematisch aufgebaute „Mirror 7“, oder das apokalyptische Finale „Omega“. Wie die namensgebenden, unbewohnten Traversay-Inseln im Südatlantik ist auch die Musik der drei Studenten voll anmutiger Schroffheit. Mal wie Filmmusik mit Klavierpassagen, die romantisch, melancholisch klingen, mal mit harter Gitarre und verwinkelt mit unkonventionellen Beats, immer voller Energie. Werke, die besonders auf der Bühne ihre gesamte Größe und Kraft entfalten! 2010 gegründet, liefert das Trio mit „#EP“ nun ihre erste CD ab.
